The Word “NEW” In The New Covenant Is Important!

One has to take great care when it comes to studying the Hebrew and Greek words that were translated “NEW”! There really is a difference!
When the New Testament used the phrase “New Covenant” anyone is able to find more than enough evidence to conclude the Prophecies Of The New Covenant was to be a completely New Covenant that never existed before.
The reality of the situation is the “New Covenant” would have been better worded as “The Covenant Finished” or “The Covenant Rebuilt”!
Seriously, the following study material is a great place for anyone to start learning about the Prophecies of the New Covenant.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
    NEW
    H2319 châdâsh khaw-dawsh’
From H2318; new: – fresh, new thing.
    H2318 châdash khaw-dash’
A primitive root; to be new; causatively to rebuild: – renew, repair.
Today we are using our definition for the word New and applying it to the NEW Covenant! We’ll now take a look at a passage that uses a different Hebrew word that was translated NEW as well!
Num 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
    A NEW THING
    H1278 berı̂y’âh ber-ee-aw’
Feminine from H1254; a creation, that is, a novelty: – new thing.
    H1254 bârâ’ baw-raw’
A primitive root; (absolutely) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes): – choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat).
Christianity is literally Declaring the New Covenant as something total separate from the Old Covenant! If this is the case the Old Testament Prophets would have used the Hebrew Word ‘H1278’ found in Num 16:30 for the New Covenant! They did not use that word!
The Prophets used the Hebrew Word ‘H2319’ which means ‘New’, with a sense of ‘Rebuilding’!
The New Testament Words for ‘New’ don’t seem to be as clear as the distinction between these two Hebrew Words! But I can tell you this, the New Testament is not supposed to contradict the Old testament!!!
